Privacy Policy – JAAN Alumni Portal

This policy explains what personal information the JAAN alumni portal (jnvlink.com) collects, how it is used and the choices you have.

1. What we collect

Registration details: name, mobile number, email (optional), member type, admission and passout year, XII stream, X roll number, city, education, industry, profession and a short introduction.
Profile photo, if you add one.
Contribution records: amount, date, method, receipt number and who received it. For online payments we store the Razorpay order and payment IDs.

We do not receive or store your card, UPI PIN or bank account details. Online payments are processed by Razorpay under its own privacy policy.

2. How we use it

To review and approve membership and to run your account.
To show your profile to your batchmates (see below) and to association administrators.
To record contributions and send you related information.
To show posts you publish, with your name, photo and batch, to everyone visiting the portal.

3. Who can see your information

Admin and Principal of the association can see all member details and contribution records.
Your Batch Admin can see members of your batch, their mobile numbers and whether they have contributed.
Your batchmates can see your profile and whether your fee is paid. Your mobile number and email are shown to them only if you allow it (My Profile switch "Show my mobile and email to my batchmates").
The public home page may show your name, photo, batch, profession and city in "Recently joined". You can turn this off on My Profile.

We do not sell or rent personal information.

4. Where it is stored

Data is stored on Amazon Web Services in the Mumbai (India) region, with access limited to the portal and its administrators.

5. Your choices

You can update most of your details and visibility settings on My Profile. Each post also has its own visibility: Public, All members, My batch or Only me. To have your account and data removed, email us; fee records may be kept where required for accounts.
